PCP is pleased to invite you to join PCP artists along to Street Shots – a series of Photo Walks through the City of Perth.

These photo walks are free activities supported by the City of Perth. Limited places are available – book your spot early to avoid disappointment.

Canine Companions – Photo Walk 1
Saturday, 17 December, 9:30 am to 11:00 am

Street Shots – Photo Walk 2
Sunday, 18 December, 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Location: Perth CBD, meet at Perth Centre for Photography

Canine Companions:
Photo Walk

This slow photo walk/shop is for nature enthusiasts and their canine companions!

A dog-friendly Photowalk that considers perception and perspective from a non-human point of view.

Dog owners/carers are invited to attend this unique photo walk/shop experience to hone their photo skills and further their interest in imaginatively and conceptually exploring the urban environment from a dogs’ eye perspective.

Date / Time: Saturday, 17 December at 9:30 am to 11 am

Meet at Victoria Gardens. The exact meeting location is to be provided to participants following registration.

What to bring:

Camera – DSLR or Smartphone

Canine companion with lead

Visual diary, pencil

Casual comfortable clothes and a blanket

Facilitator: Jane Finlay

Jane Finlay (she/her) is an Australian interdisciplinary artist and photographer living and working on unceded Whadjuk Noongar Boodja, Boorloo (Perth, WA) whose work has been exhibited and published since 1996.

Jane regards the photographic medium and screen-based technology as essential thresholds for imaginatively exploring experiences of human and nonhuman consciousness and the camera as a tool for documenting and creatively probing mediated constructions of narrative and context.

 

Street Shots: Photo Walk

Join PCP artists in this free Photowalk, perfect for beginners of street photography.
Walk through the laneways of the city of Perth and use your camera to capture images whilst exploring the possibilities of light and shadow. View the streets of Perth in a different light.

Facilitator: Sven Colic

For Sven, the ordinary is anything but. He is a local photographer with a passion for the candid and the daring.
His lifelong passion was reignited only three years ago and Sven continues to experiment with film and digital work, modern and vintage gear, or anything else that takes his fancy. He shoots scenes found wherever he travels or simply at home, seeking to evoke wonder in the drama of everyday life and the minutiae of nature.
