Charles Kasprzak was born in Perth Western Australia to Polish parents, he has spent his life living both in Poland and Western Australia respectively. In 2007 Kasprzak completed a bachelor degree in Photomedia at Edith Cowan University. After spending some time in Poland he returned back to Perth in 2013 to complete an Honours year at ECU.
To date the Swan River has been represented visually, mainly with a focus on its landscape – a sole focus on the landscape of the river has been a narrow visual investigation of the river. To expand on existing research, gain knowledge of the Swan River and widen the understanding of the rivers’ importance for the local community…not enough space.
